Real vehicles and hands-on work at Sierra Mobile Auto Glass & Calibration in Truckee.

Subaru EyeSight uses cameras near the rearview mirror; the camera arrangement varies by model and generation. That makes the exact vehicle configuration important when planning a windshield replacement.
When the vehicle has a windshield-mounted forward-facing ADAS camera, calibration is required after windshield replacement. We follow the Subaru procedure applicable to the model and equipment rather than treating every EyeSight generation as the same.
Include the year, model and VIN for your Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent, Impreza, Legacy or other Subaru. Photos of the damage and the area around the mirror can help identify what needs attention.
We review the required glass specification, mounted equipment and part availability. If you have an OEM-glass preference or an insurance claim, include that information at the quote stage.
If the damage is a chip, send a photo before assuming the whole windshield needs replacement. Repairability depends on the damage and its location, including any effect on the camera’s viewing area.
We explain whether repair is appropriate and what appearance to expect afterward. Repair aims to stabilize suitable damage; it does not necessarily make the blemish disappear.
Our team has I-CAR Platinum ADAS recognition and ASE certification for ADAS calibrations. We check the required preparation and explain whether the job needs a shop setting or other vehicle-specific steps.
