What makes damage repairable?
Repairability depends on the type, size, depth and location of the damage, the condition of the glass and the applicable repair guidance. Damage near an edge, in a critical viewing area or affecting a camera’s viewing area can change the recommendation.
Send a clear photo and your year, make, model and VIN. A photo helps us prepare, but the glass still needs assessment. We will explain when replacement is the appropriate option rather than promise a repair from a size description alone.
What a windshield repair does
A repair treats suitable damage with resin to help stabilize it and improve its appearance. It does not restore the area to the appearance of untouched glass. A mark or blemish can remain visible, particularly when damage is contaminated or more complex.
The result and limitations depend on the damage. We discuss what is realistic before beginning, including the possibility that damage can spread or that replacement may still be needed.
Chip repair, crack assessment and replacement
A chip and a long crack do not necessarily have the same repair options. Tell us how the damage appeared and whether it has changed. We assess the glass and recommend the service that fits its condition.
If windshield replacement is needed on a vehicle with a windshield-mounted forward-facing ADAS camera, ADAS calibration is required afterward. We coordinate that process with the new windshield so the complete work is planned from the start.
