Start with the vehicle details, damaged glass and the address where the vehicle will be available. We check parts and appointment options before asking you to travel to Truckee.
If you need to leave Tahoe on a particular day, tell us at the quote stage. We will discuss a realistic schedule that includes installation, required calibration and the adhesive safe drive-away time. We use fast-cure urethane with a 30-minute minimum safe drive-away time after windshield installation, subject to the manufacturer’s application conditions. Installation and any required calibration are separate parts of the appointment; your technician will confirm when your vehicle is ready.
Working at a home or vacation property
A driveway can be suitable for mobile work when it offers safe access and adequate space. For a rental or managed property, obtain permission and share any gate, parking or garage restrictions.
Weather, the work surface and vehicle-specific procedures can affect suitability. We confirm the location and explain any part of the job that needs to be completed at the shop.
Replacement and repair options
We assess windshield chips for repair and arrange windshield replacement when the damage is unsuitable for repair. Side, rear, quarter, vent and sunroof glass requests can be included when you contact us.
Provide the VIN so we can check the correct glass configuration. Features such as heated glass, a head-up display and camera brackets may affect the replacement part. Photos help us identify the opening and the extent of the damage.
Calibration supported by our Truckee team
When a forward-facing ADAS camera is mounted to the windshield, calibration is required after windshield replacement. The required procedure is determined by the vehicle, and some work needs a controlled shop environment.
