Match the windshield to your BMW
A BMW windshield quote starts with the VIN and the damaged panel. Features such as a head-up display, camera mount and rain sensor can affect the part specification, so send details or photos of the equipment near the rearview mirror.
If you request BMW-branded OEM glass, tell us before ordering. We review part availability and the proposed glass with you, including any authorization needed for an insurance claim.
Head-up displays and installed equipment
If your vehicle has a head-up display, identify it at the quote stage. We check the appropriate glass configuration and plan the removal and refitting of applicable windshield-mounted components.
Do not assume a windshield is interchangeable simply because it fits the same body style. The installation needs to account for the equipment on the actual vehicle.
Calibration after replacing camera-equipped glass
When a forward-facing ADAS camera is mounted to the windshield, calibration is required after replacement. The vehicle-specific procedure determines the equipment, work area and any other prerequisites.
Our team has I-CAR Platinum ADAS recognition and ASE certification for ADAS calibrations. If the vehicle has separate systems affected by the repair, such as night vision or radar, we review their requirements individually.
Plan a complete appointment
Tell us about any warning lights or recent collision, suspension or alignment work when arranging calibration. Those details help identify prerequisites that may need attention before the procedure can be completed.
Appointments are coordinated through our shop at 11211 Trails End Road, B-1, Truckee. We explain the schedule, safe drive-away time and relevant aftercare, and can review side, rear or other glass damage in the same request. We use fast-cure urethane with a 30-minute minimum safe drive-away time after windshield installation, subject to the manufacturer’s application conditions. Installation and any required calibration are separate parts of the appointment; your technician will confirm when your vehicle is ready.
