Start with the Porsche VIN and equipment
A Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan or 911 can have different glass and assistance-system configurations depending on its year and options. Send the VIN and identify the damaged panel so we can check the part and procedure for your vehicle.
Tell us about a head-up display, heated glass, sensors or a forward-facing camera. If you want Porsche-branded OEM glass, request it before ordering so we can review availability and quote the specified part.
Windshield replacement includes the calibration plan
When a forward-facing ADAS camera is attached to the windshield near the rearview mirror, calibration is required after windshield replacement. The glass installation and the camera procedure are planned together.
Our team has I-CAR Platinum ADAS recognition and ASE certification for ADAS calibrations. We review the vehicle-specific requirements, including the work space and preparation needed to complete the procedure.
Night vision is a separate system
If your Porsche is equipped with night vision, tell us when booking. Night vision has its own calibration procedure when required by the system and repair performed; calibrating the windshield camera does not complete that separate work.
Sierra Mobile Auto Glass & Calibration is the only shop in Truckee with the ability to calibrate night vision. We confirm the equipment and scope for your vehicle before the appointment.
Protect the details that matter
We plan removal, installation and refitting around the glass opening, trim and mounted equipment. Other glass work, including doors, rear glass and fixed panels, can be reviewed in the same quote request.
Call before visiting our Truckee shop. We will explain parts timing, the appointment setting and the safe drive-away time that applies to the installation, along with relevant aftercare. We use fast-cure urethane with a 30-minute minimum safe drive-away time after windshield installation, subject to the manufacturer’s application conditions. Installation and any required calibration are separate parts of the appointment; your technician will confirm when your vehicle is ready.
